What is split tunneling?
Split tunneling allows any VPN user to access a public and a local network simultaneously, with the same connection. The users simply tells the VPN application which data to pass through the tunnel and which other to pass otherwise. Traffic to and from any other site or email account is “split” off into another channel.
This system can also be applied to individuals. It’s just a better way to use the applications without swapping constantly between internet and VPN connection.
