Je dois le dire, j’étais sceptique à l’idée de prendre un VPN à cause de la perte de vitesse. Mais StrongVPN n’a réduit ma vitesse que légèrement, et ça valait le coup de retourner à mon Google Américain.

Je viens juste de commencer à utiliser StrongVPN, et je peux déjà voir tous les sites dont j’ai besoin pour travailler depuis des pays étrangers. Je pense que les 25$ de coût d’installation sont un peu cher pour les utilisateurs qui ont besoin que de 2 mois de VPN.
Pour ce qui est de l’abonnement, pas de problème et une qualité impressionnante pour moi. Merci.

J’utilise leur abonnement depuis quelques semaines, et j’en suis très content. La vitesse est bonne pour les streaming HD depuis Hulu.
Ensuite, la chose la plus importante est que leur connexion VPN n’a jamais été hors ligne, ou échoué à se connecter.

J’ai un abonnement chez Strong VPN depuis 2 semaines maintenant, et j’en suis très satisfait depuis. Les serveurs anglais peuvent être un peu lents pour moi de temps en temps, mais les serveurs américains sont vraiment rapides.

Je voudrais mettre en avant leur excellent support, qui de plus est rapide. Je les ai contacté pour un problème d’installation sur skype et ils ont quasiment répondu immédiatement, et son restés jusqu’à ce que le problème soit réglé.

Fast. Cheap. Easy-To-Setup. That pretty much sums it up. Put in my order and was approved in under 1 hour. Setup assisted by one of STRONGVPN’s technical supporter and was up and going in no time. Speed in China fluctuates. Sometimes it is lightning fast but sometimes I feel like it’s at 56k dial-up. Regardless of such, 95% of the time I am satisfied. I’ve been impressed with StrongVPN so far. I chose the OpenVPN solution for the strongest security and to allow me to surf the web through strict corporate firewalls. So far it’s worked perfectly on my Mac with the Viscosity client. It’s an indispensable service for me now.

I’m new to the VPN service and have to say I’m very happy with it. There is a noticeable slow down at times when playing videos but not enough for me to sweat it since it varies. I’m pretty sure I will continue my service since I still want to receive the benefits of using a VPN. I feel got lucky running across strong VPN for my first provider because there customer service is 24/7 and are outstanding in answering my all my questions and or solving what little problems I had. Salut, j’utilise actuellement Strong VPN depuis plusieurs mois, et je voudrai saisir cette occasion pour vous donner mon opinion sur ce service. J’habite en Europe et ne veux pas manquer les programmes télévisés américains, c’est pourquoi j’ai cherché sur le web un fournisseur de VPN rapide et fiable, et je suis tombé sur Strong VPN. Dans un premier temps, j’ai fait marche arrière à cause du coût. Et puis l’autre jour, j’ai trouvé leur 3 city Special, qui avait un prix un peu plus raisonnable (bien que ne répondant pas à tous mes besoins). J’ai vu leur garantie de remboursement, et ai décidé d’essayer. Ma première expérience n’a pas été si bonne, j’ai été par défaut connecté à un serveur à San Francisco, bien que j’avais clairement précisé que je voulais un serveur rapide depuis l’Europe. Changer de serveur a été un peu difficile pour moi, j’ai épuisé tout mes changements de server. J’ai ouvert une session de chat avec l’équipe chargée d’aider les utilisateurs au milieu de la nuit, et n’ai eu qu’à attendre 15minutes jusqu’à avoir une réponse avec une explication de comment changer de serveur avec New York. Après quelques minutes de plus, j’ai reçu des nouveaux crédits de connexion pour me connecter au serveur de New-York avec un logiciel très facile d’utilisation : Windows VPN client.
Depuis, j’ai une connexion raisonnable (70 % de ma connexion internet), ce qui a été assez pour regarder du streaming. Ca a été une bonne expérience et je suis vraiment content, j’ai juste une suggestion (excepté des offres moins chères et plus d’offres spéciales) : j’aimerais un compte customizable qui permette de autorise de prendre quelque chose comme 3 pays parmi toutes celles que Strong VPN propose pour votre compte et changer entre elles autant de fois qu’on veut (avoir une paire de crédits qui permettent de se connecter à chacun de ces trois serveurs sans avoir à changer entre eux d’abord ; bien sûr, cela n’inclurait pas de connexions simultanées) . Donc, un peu plus de packs sur mesure serait super. Pour résumer, je suis vraiment content d’avoir trouvé strong VPN et encouragerais chacun à essayer leur abonnement et voir si ça répond à vos besoins !

Work very well, excellent support 24/7, but a bit on the pricey side. if you have a iphone then u pay extra, if you have more than one computer running then guess what – pay extra>

I have been using the VPN service; StrongVPN for the last 3 weeks or so and have been very pleased. I’ve only had 2 connection drops in that time, and in each case was able to reconnect immediately. Throughput has been excellent. I’ve seen no discernible overhead cost to using their VPN service over just running raw. And compared to HotSpotVPN, with which I had many many problems, StrongVPN has been spectacular. I’d recommend them if you’re looking for a good, easy to use, VPN service.

I’ve been using Strong VPN for over a week. It is really as good as it sounds. Just needed to switch server once. I’ve had no problems with speed (same as my local provider). Great facility to chat to customer service on line with very speedy response.

The speed is great!!! Sometimes its even faster to connect via VPN than with the average Chinese Internet, since sometimes the bandwidth to certain sites is slowed by the ISP as an alternative form of censorship Youtube, Flickr and Facebook work just like they would anywhere else. Even when the government will come around and block connections to a certain server, thanks to the real live chat support you can either switch a server or quickly been helped with a solution around the Chinese censorship!

Ca a été facile à installer, j’ai maintenant un raccourcis clavier qui peut me connecter à mon VPN juste en appuyant sur un seul bouton. Mon seul problème, qui a plus à voir avec mon lieu d’habitation qu’autre chose, est que Hulu doit toujours chercher un petit bout de temps avant que je puisse regarder quoi que ce soit. This service seems very nice, i didnt try it but i speak a long time with the hotline on the web site. they are very nice by the way, and answer most of your question.

But, there is a but ! if you huse their services you will have a fix public IP on the other end of the VPN tunnel. So if you want to protect your privacy, it’s not the best service. Indeed, i can quickly find you back with this IP.

I’m a webmaster. Ever since I came to China I stuck with terrible Internet connection. Now I found a solution for my DSL problem, it’s Strong VPN, a paid VPN service located in USA and Europe. Here is my review.

Pricing:
Strong VPN is not cheap at the price of $15/month. A normal web hosting only charge $6/month. However, not facing financial loss of not being able to connect, is priceless. So as long as of my concern, Strong VPN is inexpensive.

Usage:
I’m not using Strong VPN just in China, but also in Vietnam. For some reasons, the connection here also not so good to International sites. And I believe, as long as I have money to pay for Strong VPN, I will keep using the service as far as I go and whenever I need.

Advantages:

There are 5 main advantages of Strong VPN in comparison with the previous services I used:

1/ It has American IP. Perhaps this is the reason why I got through when the normal connection could not. So that’s it’s unblocked. Most of the time when I am stuck, I use Strong VPN to unblock it

2/ It has multiple servers. At first attempt I failed to connect. After testing all the server I found out the vpn-in1 is the fastest, then I used it. For other people it maybe different server though.

3/ It has lighting fast support. I got difficulty at first tries, and when I got on to the Live Support, I was surprise each time I got through in just 1 minute. Even in the middle of the US night, or at US day time, they are still there to help.

4/ It’s easy to connect. Just a single click from the start menu, I got connected to Strong VPN. The initial VPN setup is straight forward too.

5/ It takes Paypal. It was really hard for me to find a VPN that accepts PayPal. Strong VPN really saves me with this. Many VPN services only take other e-money that cost me a lot if I have to buy those currency.

Disadvantages:

Life is like that, always there are things to be complained about. Especially it’s me, the critics guy. There are 4 disadvantages of Strong VPN, namely:

1/ First attempt didn’t work. The assigned me a server that I could not connect to. I freaked out and had to chat with their live-support immediately.

2/ No automatic fast server assignment. With so many servers available, they could make a software to assign new users to the fastest connection automatically based on user IP.

3/ No server comparisons. They have the speed test, but I’d preferred those test be done on one page instead of making so many clicks. I had to spend over 2 hours just to open and close the pages. So hard to note down the speed.

4/ High monthly fee. The pricing for VPN as general is around $15 nowadays. For me that’s very high because hosting only cost me $5/month, domain $10/year.

Recommendations:

I never thought about paying that much for a VPN server just to connect to the US sites. But since I’m making a decent amount of money online, that cost is minimal compare to what VPN brings me.

If you face the same or similar problem I’m facing, I suggest you try Strong VPN. I’m trying it out for 3 months. If it still works as it is right now, I will keep using it for longer.

I got it to watch hulu, comedy central, pbs, and other videos that’s becoming available on the web if you’re in the US. I have friends in China who use it to get to facebook & similar sits that are blocked there. I’m not that tech savvy but they have a video showing me what to do so it was close to painless.

After an extensive search of the different providers of a vpn I found Strongvpn to be the best choice. The price might be a little higher than other services but the quality shows why once you have to use it. I am deployed right now and have had no problems with my service where as others have had issues with the providers that they chose. Of course i have shown them the error of their ways and reccomended Strongvpn, a few have switched while others are too stubborn.

Strong VPN works very well. It is a great means to protect privacy and most importantly, prevent traffic shaping by my ISP. I placed the other some time around 22:00 CST and was verified with-in the hour. Fast-forward a few minutes and I was up and running with OpenVPN on GNU/Linux. While there are cheaper alternatives none come with the quality of support and service stability that StrongVPN does. The VPN tunnel is stable, fast, and handles the bandwidth load without issue. Aside from an increase in latency of ~30ms (which is to be expected) I cannot even tell the tunnel is active. I am using Squid to egress all HTTP/HTTPS activity across the VPN tunnel for LAN clients due to privacy invasive harvest of marketable DPI/Layer 7 traffic of search engine search terms and NXDOMAIN hijacking by my ISP. The services provided by StrongVPN are well worth the money and are necessary as ISPs continue to milk their customers as cash cows using privacy invasive technologies.

Strongvpn has provided me the privacy I need at an affordable cost. Setup was easy and customer was excellent. I’m particularly impressed with the level of communication I receive regarding the status of my connection and when switching servers. It makes it easy to get what I need done when I want to do it.

I would recommend this VPN service for any UK expat. Living overseas the one thing I truly miss is good old tv. Strongvpn lets me watch all my favorite UK tv shows with no problems. There customer service is polite efficient and always on the ball.

This VPN sucks. Absolutely rubbish. They advertise 6000+ IPs, but as a customer, all you will be able to use is just ONE server. If you want to switch to another, you will need to pay for switches. That’s really rip off service. The only premium thing this Russian VPN has is its price. Nothing else special. All comments written here and on most other sites are FAKE. StrongVPN pays for writing positive reviews. Highly disappointed. Total waste of my money.

I have been using another VPN service for the past year and now I am debating whether to stick with them or switch to Strong. I see lots of comments about download speed…but what about connecting to sites often blocked by the “Great Ch**ese Firewall”? My work depends on my being able to easily access Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and blog sites like Blogspot. Has anyone had issues connecting to these sites? I have also read that there aren’t always enough connection options and you have to pay extra for switches? And then there are the comments that Strong pays for positive reviews… So I am kind of at a loss as to what to believe.

I have used StrongVPN for a couple of months now to watch UK TV in Spain. I have found it fantastic. I can watch all iplayers and youtube 4OD etc. It has droped its connection maybe 4/5 times but just for a few seconds but considering i watch all my TV on my laptop through it every evening its an amazing feat!! Would tell everyone to sign up!

I am not any sort of techno-geek, just a middle-aged person on the mainland trying to keep connected. If Strong pays for comments then good luck to those who get that but for me they have been good. Admittedly I have never used anyone else so I can’t compare, however, they have done what I paid for. I up-graded to their openvpn package and it has never let me down.

StrongVPN is not privacy friendly.
They log and terminate users merely based on unsubstantiated allegations of copyright infringement. 

I had no problem at all using StrongVPN for the past year or so. Suddenly, I’m unable to log on without having to go through tech support.  One tech installed a handy-dandy client interface – which stopped working. So one of the techs removed it, and got a connection for me. It was never explained to me why I was unable to connect on my own. Tech support seemed to know what they were doing, but never said (or typed) a word to me about what the problem was. Chatting up tech support should not be part of the log in routine!
I’m going elsewhere!
